This 2 day Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking and canopy safari in Nyungwe forest national park will give you an experience of Rwanda like no other. This is an alternative short tour to the 2-day Rwanda gorilla trekking safari for those on a business trip and would like to see more of Rwanda. You have will have a short stopover at the Ethnographic Museum of Rwanda to learn more about the culture and history of the Rwandan people. You will soon be welcomed by the due from the dense Nyungwe forest, which is one of the remaining expanse of forest cover in Africa as you drive on the winding roads leading you to your hotel near Nyungwe forest. Furthermore, you will take on the canopy walk after your chimp trekking experience before leaving for Kigali.
Drive from Kigali to the beautiful Nyungwe forest nyungwe forestThis morning we depart Kigali for a 2 day chimpanzee trekking safari in Nyungwe forest national park. There is an optional stopover in Huye at the ethnographic museum formerly the national museum of Rwanda – You will then have lunch an proceed to the park. In the afternoon, you will take on the canopy walk in Nyungwe forest. The drive to Nyungwe forest is rewarding with views several hills, Lake Kivu and Kibira national park in Burundi.
you’ll probably have to get up around four a.m. to succeed in this very challenging activity as chimps are mostly likely to be seen early in the morning.
The food may not be sophisticated but benefits from the inclusion of fresh fruit and vegetables. You will find a largely vegetarian diet, although meat is available. The cuisine is largely based around beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, and rice.
